While he's made it known in the past that he doesn't stand in support of many of Donald Trump's actions in the Oval Office, it wasn't until Saturday night (March 31) that Charles Barkley spoke at length about his disdain for the President.

During an appearance on the latest episode of CNN's The Axe Files with David Axelrod, the NBA Hall of Famer confessed that he has grown "angry and disgusted" by the way the real estate titan has handled business as the so-called leader of the free world.

"His actions, the ways he's treated minorities, has emboldened these other racists to be more bold, plain and simple," Barkley said, asserting that the President "definitely encourages" much of the divisiveness that has grown along racial lines. Barkley had just gotten through professing his belief that Trump's election was an "overreaction" from those on the fringe right to Obama's two terms in Washington.

Barkley explained that beyond words it is the President's behavior that has him feeling demoralized as a citizen. He underscored Trump's constant tweeting and the revolving door that has manifested with all of the hirings and firings that have gone down as methods of leadership that ought to be beneath the U.S. Commander-In-Chief of all people.

Barkley was also critical of the media and the general public for allowing distractions like the probe into Russia's dealings in the 2016 election and Stormy Daniels' affair to take an eye off of more pressing matters like the fate of the DREAMers and the post-Hurricane Irma crisis in Puerto Rico.
