A year ago, Drake walked into the Raptors' Air Canada Centre wearing a shirt that displayed ESPN sportscaster Doris Burke on his chest. "Woman Crush Everyday," read the black long sleeve t-shirt. During the Raptors' game, reporters questioned Drake about the shirt, to which he answered, “I think she’s a stunning woman, incredible at what she does." Drizzy finally got to meet his crush on Wednesday night when Burke appeared to commentate on a Raptors game.
The number one ranked Raptors faced the number two ranked Celtics (and beat them 96-78) in an Eastern Conference showdown on Wednesday. During the game, Drake walked right up to Doris, who was commentating from the sidelines, and kissed her on the cheek while giving her a friendly hug. The two spoke briefly in what appeared to be an amazing moment for both hip-hop and sports culture. Burke's co-corespondent mentioned Drake's love for her while a clip of the short interaction was played back.
"I’m appreciative of that Mike,” responded Burke. "He's a Doris Burke fan, he made my life a hell of a lot more fun for a couple of weeks last year," laughed Burke, referring to Drake rocking her face on his shirt.
