Orlando's 101-92 comeback win over Washington on Wednesday (April 11) was about as good a finish to a dismal season as Frank Vogel could have asked for before putting a lid on a poor head coaching tenure with the Magic. By morning time Thursday, Vogel's firing would be announced, thereby marking the team's victory over the Wizards as the 54th and final one of his career at the helm of a basketball franchise.

Against those 54 games in the (W) column, Orlando loss 110 times over the course of Vogel's two years leading the team. Or in other words, he was one successful game shy of winning half as many times as he lost. It is an outcome that pales in comparison to the decent run he had while going 250-191 as coach of the Pacers throughout the six years leading up to his move to Florida in 2016.

Since 2012 the turnover rate at the head coaching position for Orlando has been telling. After Jacque Vaughn, there was James Borrego, who then passed the torch on to Vogel. Fans now await the naming of a replacement in hopes of landing a basketball mind who can get them out of their six-year postseason drought.
