A Louisiana woman was reportedly shot dead by a former boyfriend on Facebook Live. Rannita Williams was heard on the live stream pleading with her former partner, Jonathan Robinson, to stop threatening her.
According to relatives, Robinson and Williams broke up over two years ago. Williams was reportedly in a relationship with someone else at the time of the shooting. Authorities say Robinson showed up at Williams’ home where he held her hostage.
Robinson was charged with one count of second-degree murder, one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm, two counts of simple criminal damage to property and seven counts of attempted first-degree murder, jail records show. He is currently being held at Caddo Correctional Center.
Police responded to a report of shots fired at the home around 10:48 AM. When they arrived, Robinson fired at the officers striking one in the wrist, according to reports.
The three-minute-long Facebook video has since been removed from the site. Robinson forces Williams to apologize during the live stream, but it wasn't immediately clear for what.
Robinson can be heard yelling, “I don’t give a f**k about police, you hear."
“Wanna be famous? I’ll make you f**king famous,” he goes on to say.
Police confirmed that the footage was captured inside Williams’ home. Williams was found inside the residence with life-threatening injuries. She was taken to the hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
Robinson was armed with a rifle, according to authorities.
