J Cole resurfaced out nowhere this past month to grace fans with a new album. KOD turned out to be one the best, if not the best, Cole project ever. The album has several layers, but on the surface, it is a conversational piece about the effects of drugs to mask pain. From there, Cole goes on to paint a picture of drug abuse in several forms while taking shots at the drug-fueled culture that has taken over hip-hop today.

Throughout the album, it feels like Cole takes shots at several rappers by either pointing out the flaws in their drug-riddled raps or by emulating the flows of rappers in a sarcastic yet creative way that pokes holes in the monotonous sound that dominates the radio waves. Cole took to Twitter this week to speak directly with his fans about the album, and he answered questions about his thought process on creating the album.

One fan asked Cole what his favorite song on the album was. "Window Pain. Then Brackets and The Cut Off. Check back with me it will change," answered Cole. Fans also asked him what his favorite moment was while creating the epic album. "Zanzibar. Did The cut off, Kevin's heart, FRIENDS and window pain back to back to back. Plus Royce feature. Super zone. "With my son in Tanzanian sun rays thinking bout them days." I got blessed," he responded. Check out J Coles fan interactions below.
