Fans of Ice Cube's Friday franchise just received news that ought to make them giddy about heading out to the theaters in the not so distant future. On Wednesday (May 2) popular co-star of the series, Mike Epps, took to social media with a few clips that gave a glimpse into scenes from the forthcoming fourth installation of the comedic film.
"Ice Cube spitting game on the set is always Gold @johnwitherspoon was a damn fool today ... had me rolling! Get ready for @thebig3 coming this summer!!" Epps captioned one of the posts.
Cube appeared to be giving the breakdown in the photo, with John Witherspoon (Willie Jones) listening intently and Epps (Day-Day) smiling from ear to ear. The image followed up a clip of Epps saying, "I'm sitting here with big bro. We working," as he leans in to get Cube in the shot. "Craig and Day-Day," Cube responded.
It has been 23 years since the original movie came out in the midst of a golden era of hip-hop that saw the West Coast and Cali lifestyle of the mid 90's flood the consciousness of the genre's mainstream fans. And it has been over 15 years since Friday After Next followed up on Next Friday as the most updated iteration of Ice Cube's most famous cinematic feature.
