Spotify stirred up quite the controversy after removing the music of R. Kelly and XXXTentacion in association with their respective track records with women. 50 Cent, who is vocal about most things, took to Twitter to voice his opinion on the matter. He wrote: "Spotify is wrong for what there doing to artist like R Kelly and xxxtentacion. There not even convicted of any thing."
50, like many others, are citing the lack of due process on display seeing that neither artist has been convicted of any crime up to this point. Spotify's decision could create a slippery slope for how artists' personal lives can and will impact their profession.
