Tay-K expressed his views about Spotify banning certain artists from their playlists. Recently, a screenshot of the news story headline was posted on his Instagram. It read: XXXTentacion and Tay-K Quietly Pulled From Spotify Playlists After Anti-Hate Policy Changes.

The young rapper responded with the following caption:

My songs have been removed from playlists on spotify because I’m being accused of something that I have not been convicted of. I don’t make hate music I rap about what goes on in every hood in America. I will never let a situation hold me back from what I believe in.

So I’m making my own playlist for my music and the music I rock with. Death b4 Dishonor. Rugrat Music playlist now available on spotify. The playlist will be updated weekly with some of our favorite new artists. Link in bio. #FREETAYK

Fans and music industry insiders are on the fence about Spotify's decision. Some agree with removing artists who are labeled "problematic", others view Spotify's recent move as "censorship." R. Kelly was also removed from Spotify's playlists.
