Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jxmmi plans to give back to the fans by awarding a $50,000 scholarship to one with an outstanding transcript.
“I want to send $50,000 to a student going to college out of high school,” said Jxmmi in a video posted to social media. “So send your transcripts in. I will send y’all a link to send your transcripts. Stay posted." He went on to explain the details of the contest. “I want to put 50k toward your future!” said Jxmmi in the caption for the clip. “I will be picking 5 hardworking students (10k a piece). Send your transcripts and a brief video explaining what you plan to major in to jxmscholarship@gmail.com. Winner will be selected in July.”
Jxmmi and partner Swae Lee released their long-awaited “SR3MM” this month which is shaping up to be one of the best selling albums in the country. The project features 27 songs with each member having their solo portion. It also has a section where the two appear together. The album moved the equivalent of 57,000 copies during its first week of sales. It wasn’t able to push Post Malone's “Beerbongs and Bentleys” out of the No. 1 slot, but still has a chance considering that none of the singles have taken off yet.
