Wiz Khalifa’s ready to fight in a professional MMA bout for the right amount of money.
TMZ recently caught up with the rapper whose been training in MMA for quite some time and asked if he’d ever considered getting into the ring with a real opponent. “I like Bellator; I like their organization. They’re super cool. Their fights are fun to watch. But like, you gotta pay me a whole bunch of money to get me to fight. I train with the best. All my trainers, they show me all the best sh*t,” he said regarding the chances of him fighting in a pro league.
Earlier on Wiz admitted that even though he enjoys MMA, he still “likes rapping better” and seemed to cite that as a reason for not making a living in the octagon. He explained that fighting a one-off bout rather than fighting all the time in a pro-league would fit him more. He also challenged any celebrity interested in MMA that would want to get in the ring with him.
The conversation with TMZ was a response to a comment made by former MMA star Jay Glazer who labeled Wiz as one of the only men to ever hurt him with a body shot. Glazer, who has trained the rapper, definitely thinks Wiz could hold his own in a real fight but told TMZ that the chances of him fighting are slim.
