Mac Miller fans will be happy to know that he just survived a car crash without sustaining serious injury. But unfortunately, the Pittsburgh rapper could not escape the legal ramifications that come with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident. Miller and a couple of his friends reportedly got spooked and fled on foot after he wrecked his 2016 G-Wagon in the San Fernando Valley early Thursday morning, May 17.
The Divine Feminine lyricist is said to have lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a power pole as a result. The brunt of the impact was so forceful that the pole actually wound up falling to the ground, according to reports. When authorities arrived on the scene license plate number was run through the system, giving officers an address to trace him to.
They followed up on the information and were able to locate their man in his home, where he allegedly confessed to being drunk and behind the wheel a short time prior. "He was the most polite and nice intoxicated person we've ever seen," an anonymous law enforcement official is reported as having told TMZ. Miller was taken into custody and up until press time was still being held on $15,000 bail.
