If there were ever a sign that former Mayor Rudy Giuliani has fallen out of favor with the citizens of New York City, it stood out loud and clear on Monday, May 28, when he was greeted by boos from a packed house at Yankee Stadium.

The Memorial Day match-up between the Bronx Bombers and defending champion Astros would see its share of jeers as Houston went stretching its lead towards a 5-1 victory. But a number of fans on hand didn't get on the opposing team quite as passionately as they did the recently ordained Trump administration adviser.

A cellphone recording that one seatholder uploaded to social media would go viral to show how the mood suddenly shifted when Giuliani's name came up during birthday announcements. As soon as the word that he was celebrating his 74th year blared from the loudspeaker some pretty substantial bass began to pick up in the pitch of the crowd's roar.

Once regarded by many to be "America's Mayor" for his strong response to the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Giuliani's popularity has sagged more recently due to his unapologetic defense of the President. His most recent media run has been especially controversial in how it has targeted Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe into Trump's alleged dealings with the Russians during the 2016 Presidential campaign.
