The number of Rudy Giuliani haters in the world has only grown with his appointment to President Trump's team - so much so that he can't even come home to a baseball game in the city he governed over as mayor for 11 years without getting booed. But he isn't stressing it.

Giuliani was approached by TMZ in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, May 30 - and rather than inquire into what may or may not be on the presidential advisor's agenda for the day, the celebrity news outlet's reporter wanted to know how he took the Bronx jeers.

"I know Yankee fans. They boo you when they love ya," he said in response to the attitude he faced from many of the 50,000 on hand for New York's home game against the Astros on Memorial Day.

The booing incident made headlines after one of the ticketholders uploaded a recording to social media that captured the shift in the tone the stadium's roar carried when it was announced that the man once dubbed "America's Mayor" was celebrating his 74th birthday.

As some publications would go on to report, it wasn't the first time he was heckled at Yankee Stadium. Thus, it can be fairly assumed that he wasn't thrown for a loop by the response.
