Recently in Atlanta, ‘Zone 6 Day’ took place, which found the likes of Future and more showing up to the festivities. The back-to-school drive took a bad turn when a man opened fire at the event this past Saturday (August 4). Since then, 21 Savage spoke out about the mishap and denounced the shooting
21 Savage, who attended the event, was asked about the shooting by Channel 2 WSB-TV and said “It ain't right. People need to think about their actions and coming together to push positivity.”
Along with that, a spokesperson from the rapper’s camp issued a statement while at the rapper’s ‘Issa Back 2 School Drive’ on Sunday, saying “21 Savage is looking forward today to his third annual "Back 2 School Drive," where he is donating shoes, uniforms, supplies and giving away free haircuts. He is saddened by the events that occurred at Zone 6, an event sponsored by the local community, which he attended with other local rappers. Zone 6 was intended to be an uplifting and positive event that brings the community closer together.”
Atlanta police caught the suspect who fired off the shots—Santanio Foster. He was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The victim who was shot in stable condition.
