A heavyweight boxing match was cut short between fighters Efe Ajagba and Curtis Harper after the latter decided to leave the ring after hearing the opening bell.

The match that took place on the Premier Boxing Champions card found Harper leaving the heavyweight bout as soon as the opening bell rang. Harper made his way towards the locker room and never returned, which led to him getting disqualified.

A commentator noted that Harper dipped out of the ring because he was protesting the amount of money he was supposed to receive for fighting Efe Ajagba. PBC commentator Jordan Hardy said, “He’s not getting paid enough to fight and he wants respect.”
