Tekashi 6ix9ine was scheduled to perform at Howard's Homecoming over the weekend, but the event was canceled moments before doors opened.
Echostage, the company that was putting on the concert, released a message on Twitter, which read, "Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Tekashi69 concert tonight has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience that this situation has caused. Refunds will be provided by the point of purchase."
According to one concertgoer, there was also a $5,000 costume contest, and she was upset since she put in the time of dressing her little brother up as 6ix9ine only for the concert to be canceled.
