The hip-hop community lost a valued member of the culture last night (Dec. 13) in South Fulton, Georgia, when Miami native Chiko Juan was killed in a shooting at an apartment complex that wounded two others. Details around the shooting are unknown, with no reported suspects in custody or witnesses who have come forward.
Chiko Juan was known as an entertainment executive, who was currently working on business deals for both Meek Mill and his former girlfriend, Tommie Lee of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. Following the news of his death, numerous artists paid tribute to their fallen friend on social media.
Meek Mill sent his condolences on Instagram, writing "RIP @ChikoJuan you fought a long war with the streets I used to be scared for ya sometimes lol I'm sending my prayers to your mom rest in peace champ."
Additionally, Jim Jones, Zoey Dollaz, and Omelly were among the many who paid their respects as well, while Tommie Lee was in tears on her Instagram Live, telling the world to "don't call me, don't ask me, I'll never be okay. I’m just letting y’all know to please just love on your people while they’re here.”
