Canelo Alvarez Defeats Rocky Fielding by TKO in Third Round

Canelo Alvarez and Rocky Fielding faced off last night in Madison Square Garden, and Fielding ended up catching a loss.

According to ESPN, Alvarez moved up one weight class to take on Rocky Fielding and found himself besting his opponent in the third round via a TKO. In the video above, you can see Alvarez deliver a body shot to Fielding that put him on one knee, which made the ref call the fight. Alvarez knocked down Fielding four times during the fight.

Alvarez spoke on his strategy when facing Fielding, and addressed the body shot he delivered, saying “That was the plan in the gym, to hit the body and then move up [to the head], and that's the result. You see the result here.”
