According to a report from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Antonio Brown's absence from Sunday night's game against the Bengals wasn't due to a knee injury as previously reported. He reportedly got into a heated dispute with Ben Roethlisberger, which led to Brown missing several practices leading up to the game.
CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora tweeted, "The altercation that led Antonio Brown's benching last week was with Ben Roethlisberger. I'm told it was fairly ugly and the WR was totally in the wrong. He went AWOL essentially for the 3rd time this season dating back to training camp."
According to reports, Antonio showed up to the game on Sunday and expected to play. He allegedly stuck around until halftime and then left the stadium.
The Steelers won the game, 16-13, but missed their chance on the playoffs after the Ravens beat the Browns 26-24 to claim the AFC North title.
