The release of Lifetime’s ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ documentary series has sparked much backlash against the Chicago musician and has also found many people giving their opinion on the situation. Now, a report has surfaced via TMZ noting that the singer is now being investigated as a result of the doc.
Sources from the Fulton County District Attorney’s office said an investigation was opened based on allegations made against Kelly in the Lifetime documentary. It was noted by the news outlet that investigators have been trying to get in contact with some of the alleged victims in the documentary. One of the women who escaped R. Kelly’s house in Georgia—Asante McGee has reportedly been contacted.
