In light of the R. Kelly docu-series "Surviving R. Kelly," which has caused serious backlash for the singer, the lives of other artists are being brought into question. A clip from shock rocker Ted Nugent's Vh1 Behind the Music segment has surfaced, and it shows him speaking about getting underage girls' parents to sign them over to him.
During the show, Nugent's ex-girlfriend Pele Massa, whom he met when she was 17, spoke about them getting together being taboo in the "wild '70s." A narrator then speaks about Ted admitting "to a number of underage liaisons," and then he says that the parents thought it would be better for their daughters to be with him than a high schooler.
Earlier in 2018, Ted addressed the situation during an interview with Joe Rogan, telling him, "The Ted-hating liberal press started quoting the High Times magazine and quoting an ex-girlfriend who claimed that I adopted her. I adopted my girlfriend?! Have you read that one? What the f***?! … Absolutely absurd. I didn’t adopt anybody."
