The shooting records are getting out of hand when it comes to the Golden State Warriors. Just last week Steph Curry strung together three straight games with at least eight made three-pointers and his "Splash Brother" Klay Thompson shattered a record of his own by making 10 of his first 10 threes against the hobbled Los Angeles Lakers. Klay finished the game with 44 as the Warriors routed the Lakers who were without Lonzo Ball, Rajon Rondo, and still awaiting the return of LeBron James.
Klay shot 17-20 from the field and finished the game 10-11 from three. He held down the Warriors backcourt as Curry had an inexplicably poor game scoring just 11 points on 3-12 shooting and an embarrassing sequence which included a failed dunk attempt and a subsequent air-balled three-point attempt. For many fans and analysts alike, Klay Thompson is one of the upcoming free agents the Lakers are hoping to persuade this offseason to join the ball club. Wouldn't be surprised if Magic Johnson, Rob Pelinka, and LeBron James are already putting together their pitch after tonight's performance.
