Update 01/22/2019: French police reveal that Chris Brown has been released without charges after being questioned on suspicion of rape, but an investigation is continuing.
Following his release, Chris wrote on Instagram, "I want to make it perfectly clear, this is false. This b*** lyin'."

Chris Brown has been arrested after news broke of a rape allegation brought against him in Paris. Authorities have Brown and two others in custody after the report was filed on Monday. A prosecuting source told the UK's Evening Standard, "He is accused of a rape and is being held at the judicial police offices in the 1st arrondissement, [...] He was arrested with two others on Monday, and interviews and other enquiries are ongoing. The offence is said to have taken place on the night of January 15 this year.”
Another source stated, “A total of three men were arrested at Mr Brown’s hotel. They did not resist police, and now have lawyers representing them.” The singer will remain in police custody while investigators probe the matter.
According to reports, Chris Brown finds himself under investigation for rape charges by French authorities. A 24-year-old woman in France claims the superstar entertainer raped her earlier this month, between Jan. 15-16th. She alleges that the rape took place at the Le Mandarin Oriental hotel where Brown's bodyguard and a friend also abused her. Paris parquet has officially opened a case in wake of the woman's allegations and is currently investigating the matter.
