The Los Angeles Lakers are in prime position to acquire Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans before the February 7th trade deadline. While the Lakers will certainly have to part with most, if not all, of their young players, the prospects of bringing in AD could spell a championship run within this 4-year window with LeBron James.
Since the news of AD requesting a trade went viral, some league shifting rumbles flew under the radar as Klay Thompson reportedly expressed interest in joining the Lakers if they're able to pull off a trade for Davis. Klay has been tied to the Lakers since his youth as his father Mychal, played for the organization back in the day. Despite his father believing that he will retire with the Warriors, a big three of LeBron, AD, and Klay could be a force to reckon with.
