Coming off a finger injury and moving past the trade deadline drama was going to prove to be awkward for Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans faithful. In his first action in weeks, Davis was welcomed back to the floor with boos during the player introductions as well as after he got his first touch.
The animosity seemed to dissipate rather quickly, however, as AD put up a monster game with 32 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks in just three-quarters of play. By the time AD sat down for the fourth quarter, those boos had turned back to raucous cheers.
