Award-winning actor and singer Billy Porter caused a stir at the 91st Annual Academy Awards red carpet when he arrived in a tuxedo / gown hybrid. Porter won a Tony Award in 2013 for his role in the Broadway show 'Kinky Boots'.  He also won a Grammy Award in 2014 for Best Musical Theater Album for 'Kinky Boots' as well.
