After sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming Netflix series When They See Us, which tells the story of the Central Park Five, Ava Duvernay shared the full trailer on Friday (March 1).
The clip starts out following a young boy as he puts on his jacket and leaves his room. After going outside, he's confronted by a police officer and later put in a jail cell with four other boys. The five men were accused of raping and killing 28-year-old Trisha Meili in April 1989 and spent six to 13 years in jail before Matias Reyes admitted to the crime in 2002.
The series boasts some well-known actors, including Michael K. Williams, Vera Farmiga, John Leguizamo, Felicity Huffman, Niecy Nash, Blair Underwood, Christopher Jackson, Joshua Jackson.
