As opinions continue to pour in regarding Michael Jackson's alleged abuse against children, two men who knew him well as children have recently come to his defense. Macaulay Culkin and Corey Feldman, who became icons themselves in the 90s and were close friends of MJ when they were child stars, are still maintaining his innocence while claiming they never experienced the abuse that he's been accused of.
Culkin was recently interviewed on the "Inside of You" podcast with Michael Rosenbaum, where he reflected on their relationship by suggesting that the two bonded because of their childhood fame. "At the end of the day," Culkin said while looking back on the friendship," it's easy to say that it was weird but it wasn't, it was a normal friendship." He states that Jackson wanted to help him through the turbulence of childhood fame, while also remembering him as "hilarious and sweet."
Feldman, meanwhile, was interviewed by ENews last year where he spoke highly of Jackson and even questioned the validity of his accusers. "All I know is that Michael was a gentleman and he was respectful to every child that I saw him with," Feldman says during the interview, while claiming to have spoken to the other children who echo those sentiments. From there, he mentions one of his former accusers by name and notes that they've since changed their story, in addition to pointing out that Jackson was proven innocent on all 10 counts that he was facing.
"Why are we even talking about this?, Feldman questioned during the interview, "The mans dead, and every time it's come up it's been resolved, it should be a dead issue."
While Culkin has been a long-time defender of Jackson, Feldman's testimony is all the more compelling considering that he describes himself as a survivor of sexual abuse, having claimed to have been molested by a man who worked with his father. Furthermore, he's also accused multiple former agents and a club owner of sexually abusing him as well, making his defense of Jackson particularly significant.
