In this clip, Lisa Van Allen spoke about her life since being thrust into the public eye as one of the women featured in the Lifetime docuseries, Surviving R. Kelly. She talked about her daughter being effected by the situation and how she believes R. Kelly was able to get away with his actions because his victims were young Black girls.
Later, Lisa Van Allen tells of what she hopes the outcome of Kelly's trial will be. She made sure not to equivocate while calling him "weird," "retarded," and a "pedophile," but admitted that he is a talented musical artist.
