A deadly shooting occurred in Waycross, Georgia this past Sunday night, that reportedly involved the Jacksonville rapper Yungeen Ace's crew getting ambushed near a local Hampton Inn.

Although few details have been made available, it's been reported that when the police arrived at the hotel around 3:30 AM, they found 30-year-old Jeremy Brookins of Jacksonville shot near an outside pool. He later succumbed to his injuries, while a second shooting victim, 29-year-old Dewayne Lamont Scott, is still in the hospital recovering from gunshot wounds.

According to police, three Jacksonville men were taken into custody over the incident, as Mark Johnson, 26, Leroy Whittaker, 18, and Devante Starks, 26, were all arrested on various gun and drug charges. With that, it remains unclear how they're involved, while social media was quick to link Yungeen Ace, real name Kenyatta Bullard, to the shooting as well.

In response to reporters, Bullard's attorney, David Haas, released a statement indicating that a group that included Bullard was ambushed in the shooting, though he would not go further into detail. With that said, guests recalled hearing the gunshots around 3 in the morning, while it's been suggested that one group was chasing another with handguns.

Meanwhile, it should be noted that back in June of 2018, Bullard was the lone survivor of a quadruple shooting that left his brother along with two other men deceased, in an investigation that's still ongoing.
