Cardi B took to Instagram to address a viral video of her saying that she used to drug and rob men she met working at the strip club to make more money. Cardi explained that the video is three years old and stated, "I never claim to be perfect or come from a perfect world [with] a perfect past I always speak my truth I always own my s***."
She added, "I'm a part of hip hop culture where you can talk about where you come from talk about the wrong things you had to do to get where you are. There are rappers that glorify murder violence drugs an robbing. Crimes they feel they had to do to survive."
Cardi went on to explain that she made decisions in her past because she had limited options and had to do what she needed to do to survive.

This past weekend, Cardi B took to Instagram and spoke on a variety of topics, including her past. She noted that she had to do bad things to fund her dreams, which included robbing people.
Cardi went on to say that she deserves everything she has because she did it herself. She then went on to run down all the things she had to do and go through to provide for herself. She even pointed out times where she’d have to set clients she met at the strip club up by luring them to hotels, drugging them up, and robbing them.
Many people have taken to Twitter and other social media platforms to voice their opinion, with some even using the hashtag “#SurvivingCardiB.”
