Cash Money CEOs Birdman and Slim sat down for an interview with Forbes, where they spoke about starting the label because their father told them they needed to be entrepreneurs. They detailed being turned down by various labels, including Def Jam, and going on to generate $2 billion since the inception of the label.
During the interview, they also spoke about finding success with Nicki Minaj and Drake, who Birdman says get their own say with their careers. When asked about Drake's contract situation with Cash Money, Birdman said they would be forever in business with him.
