As the days pass and the world continues to try to make sense of the tragic death of Nipsey Hussle, his peers and fellow artists are continuing to pay their respects in a variety of ways, some by refraining from releasing any new music in tribute to the fallen emcee.

ScHoolboy Q recently took to his IG Story to say that he was pushing back his previously scheduled releases, including his new track "CHopstix" that features Travis Scott on the hook.

"Y'all got the game f***** up if you think I'm trying to put out music tomorrow," Q said to his audience "I'm not putting out no f****** music tomorrow. It's not cool. I'm not wit it. Thank you to iHeartRadio for understanding that."

From there, he addressed the fact the song had apparently already leaked, adding that he "was told that it was already in rotation," while elaborating to say "I don't know what the f*** goes on or how it works but I was never with it [and] iHeart, I guess they understand it, they pulled it down, so thank you."

Later on, he mentioned that some blogs had put the record out before he had even released it, clarifying his position by stating: "I'm not putting anything out this week. Like, no. Nobody should be putting out music this week."

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the industry YG also said he was pushing back his surprise album that was scheduled to come out April 12th, writing on Twitter "now that we gotta deal with big bro goin to heaven I will not drop the album this month. Pushing it to May, Sorry! LONG LIVE @NipseyHussle my brother from the other color!"

Thus it goes without saying that hip-hop will need more time to recover from such a tremendous loss.
