In likely the last home game of his NBA career, the Dallas Mavericks paid tribute to their star player Dirk Nowitzki and the charity work that he's done over the years. Team owner Mark Cuban said that he was going to treat Tuesday (April 9) night's game as a celebration of Dirk, telling reporters, "If you can get here for the last game, you want to be here for the last game in Dallas. It’s going to be a special night whether he likes it or wants it or not."

The video showed "Uncle Dirk" visiting sick children in the hospital during the holidays, playing music for them and entertaining them with games. Dirk was overcome with emotion after watching the footage and he was seen wiping away tears from his eyes.
