According to reports, the Los Angeles Lakers and Tyronn Lue are in contract talks to make Lue the next head coach of the Lakers. Lue was shortlisted as a potential head coach for the team along with 76ers assistant coach Monty Williams who just got the coaching gig in Phoenix.

Both Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN report that Lue could be inking a new deal in the coming days. Lue had a 128-83 regular season record with the Cavaliers and coached the team to a championship in 2016.

The move would make a certain LeBron James happy as well considering the relationship he and Lue have. Not to mention the perceived instability of the Lakers' organization at the moment, bringing in a familiar face for James could help him right the ship going into next season.
