NBA Youngboy's mugshot was released on Friday (May 17) following news that he was taken into custody for violating his probation for his involvement in a shooting over the weekend that left his girlfriend injured.
NBA Youngboy's attorney, Jimmy Manasseh, revealed the rapper was taken into custody because of his social media post, adding that he didn't have a gun during the shooting. He added that NBA Youngboy is a victim in the unfortunate incident, which Manasseh called an assassination attempt on Youngboy's life.

Even though it was reported that NBA Youngboy wouldn't be held responsible for the fatal shootout in Miami on Mothers Day, it's now been revealed that he's been taken into custody and will be detained for at least 30 days.
It's been reported that earlier this morning District Judge Bonnie Jackson ruled that his involvement in the shooting, as well as a social media post that followed, constituted a violation of his probation that he was sentenced to back in 2017 for aggravated assault with a firearm. The judge noted that one of the conditions of his probation has been to stay off social media altogether, which he hadn't been adhering to even prior to the deadly altercation in Florida.
Furthermore, Youngboy has also been arrested twice while on probation, back in 2018 for allegedly committing assault in Georgia and earlier this year for possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct.
Nonetheless, his girlfriend that was wounded in the shooting is holding Youngboy down on her own social media, recently posting a photo of the two together with a caption that reads: "I Got U"
