Back in 2014, China Mac spoke to VladTV about having recently been released from prison after serving more than 10 years, following an altercation in 2003 when Mac shot an associate of MC Jin's. Now almost two decades later from the moment that changed their lives forever, China Mac and Jin were seen together in a photo on social media that was captioned to say that they were "rewriting history."
Separately, in another post Mac reflected on his past with a photo from 2001, explaining that "I was a different person back then. I saw life differently. It was around this time that the unfortunate situation happened between me and @iammcjin , s*** it might have even been the same day 🤷🏻♂️ Looking at this picture now, shows me that no matter how low we are, we can always find a way to pick ourselves up. It’s ok to be down, in fact it makes the journey that much more interesting, but the 🔑 to it is to accept those losses, grow from them, and come back stronger than ever."
Furthermore, other clips circulating on their IG stories reveal that Jin was a recent guest on China Mac's MAC TALK podcast, as they're both on camera stating that the significance of coming together is "bigger than us." Although the two artists initially spoke in person back in 2014 at Total Slaughter, their current meeting appears to be closure as they look to provide a better example.
