Back in April, SMACK/URL held the Resolution event in Atlanta which featured a headline battle between Cassidy and Goodz, which was a highly anticipated matchup due to Cass' legacy in both battle rap and the mainstream.
Although throughout the promo run Cass boasted that his battle rap record was 5001-0, he's most remembered in the sport for his early battle against Freeway along with a 2014 matchup with Dizaster, while none of his other battles were recorded on camera during the modern era.
For that reason, the culture once more looked forward to seeing the gold-selling artist up against a proven veteran in the league, and Goodz proved to be the perfect candidate to remind all of the industry rappers that battle rap is a different sport.
With his patented laid-back delivery Goodz' experience on stage looked to be the deciding factor in the outcome, as to his credit Cass came well prepared with bars in all three rounds, however, many believed his material could have been structured better as his rounds were just too long.
All the same, the clash between Philly and the Bronx turned out to be a memorable one, as the full battle footage was released over the weekend which you can watch above.
