Although the likes of Quavo, Lil Durk, 2 Chainz, & J. Cole are known as some of the best hoopers within the hip-hop community, Harlem's own Dave East could have been the most likely to follow in the footsteps of Master P by making it all the way to the league.
In addition to once being a star at Springbook High School in Maryland, he also played in the AAU with Ty Lawson, Michael Beasley, and Kevin Durant, which then granted him a division 1 scholarship to play ball at the University of Richmond.
Although his collegiate career ultimately never panned out, East recently revealed to TMZ that he hasn't completely given up on his hoop dreams on behalf of his music career, telling the network that he'd consider one day trying out for the NBA.
"It gotta be the Knicks though, it gotta be in New York," East said with a smile on his face, while adding that his good friend in Durant is built for the big apple after seeing him play at Dyckman and Rucker Park.
