Reports recently claimed that A$AP Rocky was being held in "inhumane conditions" while being detained in a Swedish jail while awaiting the possibility of a trial for his involvement in an altercation. 

Rocky's lawyer, Henrik Olsson Lilja, clarified the situation, and translated from Swedish website SVT, he states, "[A$AP Rocky] has never talked to TMZ or any third party regarding the circumstances when he was arrested, ie when he was in the prison. He was then treated and treated properly. However, he has experienced the conditions in the arrest as very simple and has experienced that it smells urine in the cell in the arrest. However, not in detention. The conditions in the arrest cell can in that respect be criticized." 

Lilja added, "He has lacked appetite at the beginning when he was arrested but tries to eat to the best of his ability. He was to receive a visit from American staff at an early stage when he was arrested, but understood that staff from the embassy were not allowed to enter. At a later date, some day later, however, he has been visited. If this is a violation of the Vienna Convention, he cannot judge. He does not know any other information in the TMZ article."

According to TMZ, A$AP Rocky is being held in a Swedish jail with inhumane conditions. A source close to Rocky's situation told TMZ that there had been feces hurled about and left uncleaned as well as food not fit for human consumption. Rocky was also left to sleep on a mat with no blanket. What's more, the cell next to his holds a man with severe mental issues who reportedly bangs his head on the concrete on a nightly basis and spreads feces throughout his cell. 

Rocky reportedly hasn't eaten much more than an apple during his five days in this Swedish jail. To make matters worse, Rocky says he was denied an opportunity to speak with a U.S. Consulate when the official arrived at the detention center. If that's the case, Sweden may have violated the Vienna Convention for Consular Relations treaty which both the United States and Sweden signed that affords foreigners like A$AP Rocky the right to speak with a U.S. Consulate immediately after being arrested.

A$AP Rocky and his team tried to reportedly appeal his situation he is facing in Sweden, but was ultimately denied. The Supreme Court rejected the appeal, which means the rapper will stay in Swedish custody until his court date. The rapper is reportedly at risk of losing up to $1.7 Million and is facing up to 6 years in prison.

News of A$AP Rocky and crew being arrested by police in Sweden following an altercation with two men, and it is being reported that Rocky will be detained in Stockholm for at least two weeks as his case is being investigated. If after the two weeks it is determined that charges will be filed, Rocky will be fighting an aggravated assault charge which carries a possible 6-year prison sentence.

The video showing A$AP Rocky and his crew apparently beating a man in Stockholm, Sweden spread across the internet quickly early this week. It is being reported that the Harlemite is in police custody in Stockholm, along with his three associates. A Swedish Prosecution Officer spokesperson confirmed the arrest with CBS News and said Rocky was being held for suspected "gross assault," but declined to provide any further details.

TMZ released a video on Monday (July 1), which reportedly shows A$AP Rocky and his crew beating up a man in Stockholm, Sweden. 

The video shows Rocky speaking with some men outside of a restaurant, and witnesses say that the men accused the rapper of breaking their headphones. The men were asking Rocky to buy them new headphones, and they began to follow him and threaten to call the police if he didn't pay them for their damaged property.

Witnesses say that a woman stepped in an accused one of the men of grabbing her butt earlier, which is when Rocky and his crew started fighting the men. One of the men was knocked out in the incident, and A$AP Rocky and his crew left the scene before officials arrived and interviewed witnesses.
