Funk Flex took to Twitter to reveal that he spoke to Jermaine Dupri about Bryan Michael Cox recently saying that Jay-Z deterred JD from making a deal with the NFL before he announced his partnership.
Funk Flex confirmed the news after speaking to Dupri, tweeting, "I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH JERMAINE DUPRI... HE CONFIRMED THAT WHEN HE WAS WORKING WITH THE NFL LAST YEAR HE DID GET A CALL FROM JAYZ ASKING HIM.. 'HOW DEEP ARE U IN WITH THE NFL?' EXPRESSING... 'THAT MIGHT NOT BE A GOOD IDEA.'"

The controversy surrounding JAY-Z's new partnership deal continues to be the topic of conversation. Grammy award-winning producer Bryan Michael Cox just added fuel to the skepticism directed in Hov's direction after revealing that Jermaine Dupri was essentially offered the same exact deal that Jay received from the league. However, the shady part comes in when Cox reveals that Hov personally called JD and urged him not to do the deal with the NFL only for Jay to ink the same deal less than a year later.
