According to reports, Kim Kardashian has helped with the release of a prisoner who was convicted for murder 23 years ago.

Momolu Stewart was convicted of murder at the age of 16 in 1999 after being tried as an adult. However, 39-year-old Stewart’s sentence was reportedly reduced to time served plus three days.

This comes after Kardashian met with Stewart in July 2019 to learn about the Georgetown Prison Scholars, which eventually led to her writing a letter of support for Momolu Stewart to use during a re-sentencing bid. When speaking on his release with the help of Kardashian, Stewart said, “I was buried alive. So now, I've been resurrected. I'm back, and I'm better.”
