Rapper Gorilla Zoe was reportedly arrested over the weekend after getting into a violent domestic dispute with his girlfriend in their Florida hotel. According to police, security at La Siesta Resort alerted authorities of Zoe physically abusing his girlfriend following an argument over her refusal to go inside the room. Cops arrived while the rapper was pinning his girlfriend to the ground.
After breaking things up, Zoe's girlfriend told cops "We always drink and argue, nothing more. He's never gotten physical with me. Isn't that what happens when everyone drinks?" She went onto tell them that Zoe "always become crazy aggressive like."
He was subsequently arrested on domestic battery charges. Authorities say that Zoe told them he was a nice guy and told them "My name is Gorilla Zoe you know me I'm a rapper." Whether they thought he was a nice guy or recognized him from his rapping days, Zoe wasn't in police custody very long as he posted a $2,500 bond in little over an hour.
