Previously, Ice Cube noted that another ‘Friday’ movie was in the works and that it would be the last entry in the series. However, the passing of John Witherspoon may have put a damper on that, along with the studio moving too slow, according to Cube.
Via Twitter, Ice Cube responded directly to a fan’s question about the series’ fate, saying, “Back to the drawing board since New Line Cinema was slow on green-lighting the LAST FRIDAY script that was full of Mr. Jones [John Witherspoon’s character]. I’ve been pissed off about it since Spoon passed away.” Take a look above.
