According to reports, Harvey Weinstein was found guilty of third-degree rape but was acquitted on higher criminal charges.
Weinstein was convicted by a jury for the third-degree rape of Jessica Mann as well as a count of criminal sexual act in the first degree against a woman named Mimi Haley, a former production assistant on ‘Project Runway.’
However, Weinstein was found not guilty on two counts of predatory sexual assault, as well as one count of first-degree rape against Jessica Mann. Jurors reportedly deliberated for five days on the verdict. Harvey Weinstein is now facing 5 to 25 years in prison for the top count. Stay tuned for more details.
