Many have been reflecting on Kobe Bryant and the memories they have of him and with him, and now LL Cool J has shared a candid moment from around the time Kobe dived into the world of rap.

While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the legendary Queens rapper revealed that he and Kobe would have many convos about rap and music and that Kobe once played him a gangsta rap album he recorded.

LL said, “We talked about rap. He played me this album, this gangsta rap album, and I was like, 'Kobe,' I said, 'Come on dog. That's not what you need to be doing [laughs].' He had a gangster rap album. He played me that album, we're sitting in a parking lot. I was confused, I was sittin' there like, 'What are we doing? You got endorsements, what are you doing?' It had to be the funniest moment of my life, listening to him do gangster rap.
