According to reports, a Chicago man was arrested after saying he was infected with coronavirus and coughing into Chicago Police officers' faces. The incident reportedly took place at Rogers Park.
Anthony Ponzi was reportedly driving in the wrong direction on the 7400 block of North Wolcott Avenue when he crashed into another car. From there, Ponzi hopped out his Jeep and allegedly attacked the other driver. When police arrived, they saw Ponzi foaming at the mouth. When officers tried to talk with him, the man coughed in their faces and said he had coronavirus.
Ponzi was charged with multiple felony counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer, along with various misdemeanors, which include resisting arrest and battery DUI.
