Kodak Black's lawyer, Bradford Cohen, revealed via Instagram that Kodak Black received a 12-month sentence for a gun case in New York. Kodak pled guilty on March 11 to attempted second-degree criminal possession of a weapon after getting arrested when trying to cross the U.S. border into Canada last April. The new sentence will run concurrently with the 46-month federal sentence that stems from him illegally purchasing a firearm in Florida.

Cohen didn't represent Kodak in the New York case, and he stated that the case should've been dismissed after two other people in the vehicle admitted that Kodak didn't know about the guns inside. He added that the car "was registered and legal to one of the other individuals he was with." You can read his full statement above.
