A disturbing video has been circulating online, which shows a man in Graton, California being attacked by a police dog after willingly surrendering to police.
Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office initially received a call that Jason Anglero-Wyrick, 35, pointed a handgun at a man and his wife from his pickup before driving away. After learning that Anglero-Wyrick was on parole for assault with a deadly weapon, deputies found a truck matching the description that the accuser gave them at Anglero-Wyrick's home. Authorities were concerned Anglero-Wyrick was armed and that he might try to barricade in the home, and they blocked off nearby streets to stop traffic around his home.
Upon arriving to the home, Anglero-Wyrick and Naustachia Green, 35, who also lived at the house, came outside and deputies claim they were both confrontational. After Green allegedly stepped in between deputies and Anglero-Wyrick, the man pushed Green aside and allegedly cursed at the deputies. Deputies claim that Anglero-Wyrick tried to walk back in his home, and one deputy deployed his stun gun and another simultaneously released the K9. The dog latched on to Anglero-Wyrick's leg while he tried to lie on the ground with his hands behind his back. His leg was bleeding badly after officers worked for several minutes to release the dog that was clamped onto Anglero-Wyrick.
No gun was found in Anglero-Wyrick’s home or car after a search, and Green was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery on a peace officer and resisting arrest. She was later released and asked to appear in court, while Anglero-Wyrick was released on $5,000 bail.
