According to reports, 30 men residing in the DMV area, in addition to West Virginia, for child predator charges as part of Operation "COVID Crackdown." The online sting operation sought and identified the men preying upon children online with the intent to initiate explicit conversations and solicit sex. Suspects were directed to individual locations where they expected to engage in sexual relations with the young children but walked right into a police trap. The suspects, whose ages range from 20 to 74, were charged with a combined 68 felonies.
